Game and Narrative Design

I seek to create empathetically-focused design, that which is representative of the connections I have made through games and meaningful conversation. The power and value of stories is unparalleled. Stories are what unify us, motivate us, give us purpose. Narrative operates at the core of empathy and meaningful human connections.

As narrative devices, games are key sources for attuning audiences to specific experiences, identities, and beliefs. In my design, I seek to create empathetically-focused experiences situated in anti-hegemony. Game narratives function conversationally to the audience, by situating this conversation on experience and identity, play can become meaningful.

A Chirp in Space is a Bird-themed 3D platformer about finding your family in space

In this solo project, I coded systems, designed levels, created all assets and animations, and made narrative cinematics.
